11 miles per gallon?

hey, not sure if my 4.8 is having a problem or what, but recently i've noticed that i am getting 11 miles per gallon. there is a lot of snow here but i sparingly use my 4wd, and i only added 150 lbs for weight. Is it just the cold that is causeing this, or is it possible something is wrong with the truck? :shakehead

I would recalculate on the next tank of gas to confirm your numbers first. I have never gotten les than 14-15 in my 4.8 even loaded and in 4wheel drive in the deep snow.. jj

do you let it warm up sittin there before driving it? that can, in extreme cases, slash the mileage in half.

wait, have you changed tire sizes and NOT recalibrated the speedo? If so, that will throw your percieved MPG off.

no, my tires are all stock, the only mod i have on the truck is a flowmaster 40. its all stock. but i check the numbers and recently i've been getting 12 MPG! then this last time i got 11 mph. so im a little concerned now. any other ideas??? its starting to kill me on gas funds, lol
