transmission sludge

well the automatic transmission fluid got changed today and there was a bunch of sludge on the transmission pan, a transmission shop told me that the transmission was calling for help......i need some advice..i know nothing about automatic transmissions except band adjustments and fluid levels....should have got a 5-spd!

More than likely it's water in your pan. It will form a sludgy like substance with the added heat. I think if they flush it and add MOPAR ATF+4 fluid in there, you may be OK. Do that first and see if it shifts better/proper.
