95 Cherokee brake pads

It's about time to replace the brake pads on my 95 Cherokee. With 212,000 miles on her, it's a job I have done a few times before. I am interested in hearing what brand/type of pads you prefer. I've pretty much just used whatever mid-priced pads and shoes my local auto parts offer. Do you think there is much difference between types or brands?
