Rear running lights are out! Help!

Hello all,

I've posted several times before and read through a lot of threads and always gotten/seen some great advice...now I need some help. I have a 2002 Suzuki Savage LS650 (little bike..I know...didnt want to kill myself for my first bike). Anyway a few months past my rear running lights suddenly stopped working on me. The display light on my plate still works and my brake light and turn signals work properly as well. I looked under the seat and checked the 2 20Amp fuses and visually checked all the wires I could see and did not notice any frayed wires or loose connectors (I unplugged and reconnected all of them!) I also checked my lights lol, just to be on the safe side. If anyone has any advice or expertise they could throw me on how to fix this myself I would be very appreciative! I live in South Florida so it's not the best idea to drive around half-invisible...especially at night! Anyway thanks in advance!

It sounds like you checked everything it could be. It sounds to me like a fuse...it might be located somewhere other than under the seat. Do you have the manual for it? Anyway, if the lights themselves have been replaced and they still don't work, then Id say it has to be a fuse elsewhere. You said you checked the lights, meaning? you replaced them? They can burn out only the running or the brake lights sometimes, so make sure its not a bulb. Good luck.

Hmm...yeah I just kinda looked at the lights and flipped the turn signals and brakes on and off...tomorrow I guess I'll just replace them...thats a cheap enough fix instead of getting raped at the service place. And no unfortunately I dont have the manual...I've researched online for the fuse location and every site I've checked says they are under the seat. Let you know if replacing them works. Thanks!
