lock up torque converter

i was wondering how a L.U.T.C. works.....what does it do?......does it shift ur automatic more agressively?.....reduse shift lag?....strengthen the transmission?....what`s a resonable price for it?.......or does all the auto tranny have it just that there are aftermarket ones to make it stronger like a clutch for a manuel?...
....or is it add on aftermarket..?....and does V.B. really work that well?....how agressive does it make ur auto tranny shift?..thx!

....well i installed blue strode lights last night.....took my max out and my friends said its alsome..!!^^.....soo i guess im happy now!
