Sirius Install Questions

Hi,

I've got an '01 Cougar, and am very fussy about it's appearance. I got Sirius Satellite Radio and an AudioVox Receiver.

Model Specs here (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=319905&pfp=cat3)

I got one of the DIY car install kits, but am nervous about doing it myself. I also don't know where I should mount the unit - Kinda bulky, don't want to obstruct view, or alter appearance. I also need to figure out how to jack it into the car's stereo... The Sirius Radio has an FM re-transmitter, but i've heard direct connecting has much better quality audio.

So, my questions are, where should I mount it? I'm not really happy w/ any of the "off the windsheild" places I've tried it by just holding things in place. Can I replace the ash-tray w/ the mount? or something like that to keep the interior clean and neat? Should I just suck it up and take it to my local car audio shop and pay them to install it?

If I do decide to DIY, how should I connect it to the car's audio unit?

Anyone got pics of a unit installed in their car?
Thanks

- Mac
