Yeah - Haynes says a lot of things that "just ain't so." I just about wrecked my glovebox trying to follow their instructions - GRRRR!

look around the cover, or right on the edges of the cover, there should be either 3 or 4 little holes, inside the holes there are screws

If you remove the door panel, you will see how to get the speakers grill and speakers out.

Not really that hard. The hardest part is removing the inside door handle. Remove the screw and push the plastic forward then out. Disconnect the door lock wires and then the linkage. There is a screw hidden behind a plastic cover in the arm rest and a few other places and also a plastic stud that pushes in at the front of the panel. Around the bottom, there are pry studs that hold the panel to the frame. When everything is loose, lift the panel out and up. Then carefully disconnect all the electrical to the window switches, courtesy lights and door lock controller and then the speaker. One other thing needs to be removed first, it is the cover for the side mirror. It just prys out. I can remove a panel in 15 minutes.
