Is a solid axle swap for a 2000 Durango possible?

I have a 3 inch body lift and I am running 32x11.50's and want 33's so i have to go higher. There is only the Rancho 3in lift for the 2000's. I'm thinking a solid axle would allow the use of the 99 5.5in lift from Tuff Country. Am i crazy or is this possible.

The SAS would probably be possible, cause its all custom, lots of fabricating and welding. Its not bolt on. The 5.5 TC lift, from what i've read, is crap and doesn't hold up too well off road. And, by going with a SAS, this lift wouldn't fit. You can to a T/S lift and gain 2".
