Learning about Cars

ok well basically, i just turned 16 this october and im about to purchase a car (most likely a 1996 -1998 Acura Integra GS/LS) and im trying to find ways to learn about all the things people know about cars like the street racing community. So i was wondering if anybody could help me out in learning about cars.

Just hang around the Integra forum and read everything you can. Also read the technical forums about engines, suspension, etc.

i actually learn a lot from tuner magazines, they have info on specific cars, which is good. the best thing you can do is work on your car, but make sure you know what youre doing before you start a project. there are plenty of ppl on here that can give you great advice, and just going into a local shop, a lot of time you can learn a lot just from talking too ppl.

brake it, pay for it, fix it. i didnt know anything when i was sixteen, i didnt even know how to change the spark plugs (seriously)
now ive done almost all my work myself, from tranny to body repairs and engine
