Hi, i am wondering if anyone ever used one of the Magnefine inline filter for your transmission. For those that never heard of it, here is the website. I am thinking of getting one to provide more filteration for my tranny, what do u guys think?

I can't see how one would hurt unless it chokes ATF flow off too much. Sure is an easy add on. Just cut & splice it into one of the rubber hoses either into, or out of the radiator cooler.

what about that "in-line" oil filter thingy also advertised on the same page? it looks nifty, but i'd be afraid, again, of restrictive flow issues

Im not sure about restrictive flow, but from the website FAQ, it say it will not restrict flow at all, even if the filter is full of contaminant. Here is the website to the FAQ, take a look, think i am going to put one on since it only cost 20 dollar. Maybe if i put this filter on, i might not need to drop my pan to change that filter later in the future. Before putting it on, i probably drop the pan and put in a new filter first, since im due for a tranny flush anyway.
