I'm not sure what atc is.it's in the main fuse box under the hood.My 4x4 buttons lights go out 4x4 will return to 2hi and that fuse is blown.I replace the fuse and it all works good till it desides to blow again.I could blow at any time does't seem to have ryme or reason.I traced some of the wireing for short and found nothing.

The link above shows the wiring diagram and the ATF/ATC/auto transfer case fuse.
I would check the amp draw on the shift motor to start with and wiring going to it.

Where under the hood. Your fuse box is on the drivers side of the dash, isn't it?
atc, "automatic temperature control" or
"automatic transmission conFUSEd"

Ok, tried it, but I'm getting a blank screen. (even defeated my Firewall and pop-up blocker to no avail...)
So, did the fuse block location change from '97/98s? I'd guess yes from what you posted.

The link is giving me trouble to. Try it later also it is in a pdf.
On the 99 they have a underhood fuse block and a under the dash fuse panel both.
The ATC fuse is in the under hood fuse block.
