'96 Explorer Electrical Problem, I think?!

I have a 1996 Explorer and recently a few things stopped working. The winshield wipers, front and back, the windows, and the dome lights all stopped working. So I decided to start checking fuses to see if I could figure something out. I would just pull one out and see in anything started working. I ended up pulling out the airbag fuse under the hood, in the power distribution box, and everything started to worked again.

I plugged it back in just to see if I was crazy, but those things would not work when the fuse was in. So I took it back out, everything works correctly except the airbag light is on and I assume it's disabled. Does anybody have any advice? I'm not sure how the airbag fuse would affect all those things. So I'm just wondering if replacing the fuse will make everything work correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

I would look at a schematic of your aibag system. Somehow that system ties in with everything else, like if the airbag is deployed a realy disables all the electronics to prevent a fire or such. I would look for an "airbag realy" or something close to that being faulty. Becareful though, the last thing you want to do is trigger that airbag to go off!

With ALL your fuses in check and see if your four wheel drive works. Also check and see if your chimes work (key in ignition, door open, lights on, etc.). If your four wheel drive does not work, you will need to focus on the GEM module which controls the things you mentioned plus the four wheel drive and chimes.
