A couple of weeks ago I posted about my tranny making a chattering noise. Well tonight it went out. Its not the slave cylinder. So im curious as to what it is. I think its the throw out bearing but im not sure. When the clutch is pressed in it wont go into gear. I turned it off and put it in first then when i tried to turn it back on it started moving. anyone have an opinion on what it might be?

Sometimes the clutch plate "comes apart" ... if that's the case, only a clutch plate, clutch disc, etc replacement will get you going again. The flywheel may need to be resurfaced at a shop.
And yes, it may only be mostly the throw-out brg .. but that usually does damage to the fingers on the clutch-plate.
Not a huge task, but will fill a weekend for the DIY'er. ... if the replacement parts are on-hand.
You would also want to replace/rebuilt the hydraulics while this is going on.

In any event, what ever your problem is, throwout bearing, clutch disc, pressure plate, etc., you will have to pull the transmission to see what's going on. You just as well replace it all while you got the tranny out and stick in a pilot bearing while you're there. Since you have to pull the flywheel for this, just as well get it machined and stick in a new rear oil seal also.
