Tapping sound coming from.....

the area below the center console of my 99' Trooper. It seems to be vibration related not valve noise related. It only happens under no-load conditions when the vehicle is above normal idle, rolling down the road. It comes and goes depending if you press the accelerator. Crazy!! Anyone else heard this one??

Make sure there's no foreign objects in the console, loose change, screws, roach clip :disappoin , etc... I know I had an annoying noise from the dash in our rodeo, only to find out it was the change in the ash tray! If it's nothing inside, check for something loose underneath like a heat shield.
