This problem is not constant and only happens periodicly. May go for a couple of days and out of no where jeep begins to buck and jolt and then run fine. When this happens it usually happens a few times and then clears up and runs great. Help .

How long has it been since you had plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, try a can of dry gas. What engine? Dale :2cents:

The jeep is a 98 limited. The engine is 4.0L Yes first thing I did all you suggested before post even added injector cleaner in the next tank of gas. I thinking maybe a sensor may be on its way out. I will keep you posted and any more suggestion would be appreciated. thanks for the reply.

a shot in the dark take some water in a spray bottle and spray around your plug wires or look under your hood in the dark and see if your plugs are arching out, my jeep was doing the same thing at idle and cruising and my plug wires (brand new) were grounding out.
