Stalling due to Fuel Starvation?

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport 2.5 L4 that when it is cold outside, when I come to a stop or put in the clutch, the engine wants to drop down to a rough idle at about 500 RPM. I bump the accel, then it drops back down to 500. Sometimes it stalls out completely. Other times it returns back to around 800 - 900 RPM. Then when continuing my journey, and coming to another stop, the same thing happens. It's not the air filter as I've removed the air filter and it still happens. And it only happens when it's cold outside.
Any suggestions?

Be sure to check you EGR valve. It may be dirty or need to be replaced.

Here's a diagram from '96. I'm pretty sure the EGR valve is in the same location..

I don't know about your truck...but mine was on the topd of the block right next to the intake right under the air filter.

Well, It's been a while, but I'll let you know what happened...
I ran through a tank of gas with a bottle of fuel treatment, and it hasn't acted up since...
