2003 Taurus Fuel Temperature Guages not working properly

The fuel and temperature guages on my 2003 taurus do not change at all no matter the tank is full or empty, the engine is cold or hot. The fuel guage always stays around full and the temperature guage always in the middle.
Anybody have a clue of what's wrong?
Many thanks

Loose connection in the dash maybe? Are the sending units for both guages working?

Hello
How long have you owned this car? When I bought my 93 (no longer have) the previous owner pulled the fuse to the gauages so the check engine light wouldn't come on during my test drive. Well without this fuse the gauges didn't work.
I wasn't a happy camper when I almost ran out of gas. I limped to a station, filled it up and went home and tore the dash apart looking for bad parts. I looked for a blown fuse but I wasn't looking for a "missing" fuse.
This is my fuse story and I'm sticking to it. :grinyes:

Dan

I owned this car for more than one year. Thank you for the information. I will check for losing or bad fuses.
