Project Build In Bedroom For Winter:

well i hope im not the only crazy person to be building my spare vr-4 motor project in my bedroom since its freezing cold outside.its been awhile since i have been in here but good to talk to you guys again,kevin,joe and so on.its nice to get off work and come home to start putting things togather.i just got the head back from being checked and cleaned and installed the fp2 cams tonight.the weisco"s 8:31 std bore will go in next week along with new clevite bearings and oem seals and gaskets.the unorthodox ultra light ss cam gears i got new from someone that needed money for $275.00.waiting on mitsu 4 layer gasket and arp hardware also.power enterprise timing belt and a jm fabracation intake manifold are also on the list.im in no hurry since it wont get warm for four months and cant wait to see what this build will do.

nice , but to be honest , dont build engine in your bed room, all the oil and greese will be over the bed room , and smell really bad, it make you sick if u sleep next to it all the time. Nice project by the way, keep us update.

Thats awesome, I think I will be building my engine in my friends shed this summer, but it would definately go down in the bedroom during the winter. Good luck dude, let us know how it goes.

damn...what a badass, lol, i gauruntee you when i move out in 6or so months for college there will bean engine in my room. i wanna rip mine out of my car and build it but its too fucking cold and i dont think my mom would approve off it being in me room, oh well. good luck though.

sticking with the 88mm crank or is that a 100mm? How much did that bath cost for your head?

Cool man, sweet job so far, im doing mine this winter in my garage. Just pulled the motor out last month

my engine still in my car but we are doing the head right now in the chicago winter, so its damn chilly in the garage, we have a propane heater ,and 2 500 watt halogen lights lighting up the engine bay =) I need 16G turbo!!!

I have a spare bedroom and I desperately want to put an engine in there and build it, but alas...I have no money for that or enuf tools. lol
