I'm gonna agree with these guys... but that's a helluva lot of money... you'd have to turn the engine sideways... put the transmission in it... a driveshaft... rear axles... all that good stuff... it's a helluva project... I guess some people have more time and money than I do...

I've always wondered what a 3000GT would be like with a bigger engine. Does anyone know of someone who has done this before?

ah, I'm sorry... I just re-read the first post... when he said "Pontiac Trans" I assumed Trans-am... I guess it was the first thing that came to mind... Again, I'm sorry and I stand corrected...

Well, there's a stroker kit in the making... I do b/l I've overheard the 6G74's being thrown into a few 3000's... I'm not sure if there's any difference in the size there, but to my understanding, they hold up better under boost...

It's been awhile since I've done any reading... I've had alot going on around the house... and the damn holidays haven't helped (sry, I sound like a scrooge now...)

yes trans-am's are RWD, however he is going to put a pontiac trans in it. Trans is short for transmission. No where does he say anything about swapping an engine.

He corrected himself.;)

Why would he want to put a Pontiac transmission in??
