Dim dash lights when cold ( Canada cold )

This question is to anyone who lives the colder, northern climate. Does anyones dash gage lights remain very dim upon start up and stay that way til the car warms up a little?? Mine appear to be set on low and trying to brighten them only turns on the dome lights. It seems after a while of driving they do get brighter or to normal. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

It's interesting you should say that as in colder temps, electronics actually work better....at least they should. I don't have this problem with my Lincoln, 80' Mark VI, but my buddy does too, same year only TownCar. He found out that there wasn't really anything that can be done, unless you traced the electrical circuit for the dash lights (every single one of them) and possibly find a short(?), a week/contracted section as things sometimes will contract (or shrink) with cooler temps. That's what he found out...there maybe something else but he searched for months and couldn't find anything. Hope this will at least answer your question.
