Temp gauge runs off of a small sensor that hooks onto the right (Driver's) side of your engine. Maybe you disconnected it. Look for a small, rubber boot with a 90-degree angle in it. Make sure nothing's dangling. As far as your Fuel Gauge goes, that could be a problem in your tank. Do you want to tknow about it?

the thing is the other day i was driveing it and i shut it off at the store and when i started it back up both the fule and temp gauges quit working ,i'v checked the temp wire and under the tank to make sure all were still connected and the were ,is there a fuse that is hiden some where that is hard ti find that works them both?

I have the same problem. Both fuel guage and temp indicator are inop. I've checked all fuses as well, even though none are labeled to have anything to do with fuel or temp guages. Wiring seems OK. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like a bad gauge. Had this problem with full size bronco back in the 80s was common.
