99 Suburban Interior Rattle...HELP

My 99 Suburban is bugging the crap out of me so I hope someone can help. Everytime I drive it on bumpy road conditions which is often around here, I hear a rattle coming from the corner of my driver side door right near my head. I feel around, touch, check everything and nothing. I even got outside the vehicle to check the door alignment and see if there is interference with the door and frame...nothing. It is so bizzare. It's almost as if something is rattling between the headliner and roof in the corner of my driver's side door. I even checked the roof rack and there is no movement there either. BTW, when the sound is happening it actually sound like a loose door but the hinges are tight. I grabbed the door and pulled up and down and there is very little movement. Can someone help with this weird problem. I'm ready to take it to the dealer but would like to avoid it...$$$$. Thanks in advance.

I had a rattle that I though was interior, but ended up being the louvered black plastic by the windshield wipers outside. I looked everywhere for it and for months I too thought it was hinge related. Hope this helps

Try removing the rubber molding that holds the headliner up, around where that noise is coming from. Now gently pull down on the headliner and you might be surprised,...some ...I'll call it "foreign object" may be stuck between the headliner and roof.

My '99 is bad about not fully retracting the seat belts and the metal buckle will vibrate against the plastic on the pillar posts. I hope yours is something as simple as that :)
