how to make more POWER???

my 98 trans am is stock except for a ls6 intake and flowmaster exhaust. Ill have around $1000 saved up by the spring and was wondering how to make big power w/o going overboard on the budget. im not a big fan of headers...so what are ur opinions.

I need to know if it's A4 or M6. Makes a big difference.

M6. but i dont like the cluttery sound of cams. i was thinking tb, new lid...

No headers eh?
What about lid? Ported stock TB? Sticky tires?
Ditching the flowmaster would gain you a couple ponies as well.
