vision gran turismo

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but I have seen a lot of screen shots and a few videos. I can't wait till this and the PS3 come out this spring.

Are you sure GT5 is coming out in spring? I thought it was gonna be released in the fall (like the next grand theft auto) :ylsuper:

Look harder. there is a lot more clearer detail being put into this game not to mention the addition of actual pit crews (finally) working on the car.
looks good. i just hope it's not as boring as GT4 was. i waited for it forever and ended up playing it for like a week
gran turismo is a long somewhat slow progressing game. I believe it's best enjoyed when playing several months. it wouldn't be much of a game if you could earn all those freakin cars in like a week or two like in most wanted or something.

Its hard to make a game like GT4 look any better.

Where the pork and beans is at lays in how much is happening on the screen at one time. I think I heard they'll be a 32 car roster now? Not sure, anyways, PS3 will be way hotter than XBox 360.

looks decent, i guess its only a video of a demo, i'm sure the real thing is much more kik ass. still, i won't be getting a ps3, i'm gonna get the xbox. either way, not till maybe nest year. i'd rather spend my 300 on something else. hopefully an equally kick ass Forza will be out.

They don't have a release date set yet, but everything that I have read indicates it will probably be this spring around the same time as the PS3. I don't know much about GT4, haven't played it yet. Still have to finish GT3, my PS2 was in hibernation for a couple years. The things they have release and reviewed such as actual pit crews with the members working independantly, the people in the stands, people on the side of the streets, the mods and adjustment of car characteristics are what are going to set this apart from every other game out there.

actually, spring is a rumor. summer is more likely unless they decide to hold ouy till winter.

the revolution debuts at the expo on may 9th. meaning, release maybe in the summer...but nintendo was late before, sovmore than likely the winter. although, the PS3 debuted last spring...so who really knows. just gotta wait and live with replaying FFVII :icon16:

WOW!! That looks awsome I think that were the biggest change is now going to be in how the cars look, because they are already so realistic. But the backgrounds are going to be more detailed along with the crowd and pit crew. Also There will be more than just 6 cars to race so that will be sweet.

i know i've played all the GT's. with this one though, after i got it and was over the graphics i realized its really no different from GT3, there were like 500 cars in it but 75% of the new ones were useless, like model T's and stupid concepts like the nike car or little 40 hp mini cars. i ended up using most of the same cars i had in the last GT, i just wasn't all that impressed. you can't repackage an old game with new graphics and call it revolutionary. i was expecting 1/4 mile drag races and shit like that, plus not having the online play they promised made it very disappointing considering all the hype it got and how many times they pushed the release date back.

Sony was so smart in taking it's time with PS3. I feel sorry for all the poor saps who dropped down $400 for 45 minutes of entertainment and a huge paperweight the rest of the time.

Good point. I enjoyed it though cuz collecting the cars is one of my main priorities in the GT games, but that's just me. Not only would i like to see more types of racing like drag but more race car cagegories like some IRL, IROC, drag, or even a few NASCAR would impress me. BTW, i find the nike car to be an excellent car on rally tracks.

actually this game might be very good because there are actually more than 8 cars going against each other in the ps3. I hope ps3's version of GT5 has tire marks and possible BOV sound choices, that would be neat. I think ANY GT series is going to be a long process, im only at 79.9% done with GT4.

car makers dont want a game out there that has their cars all banged up
as for skid marks...well...it could add some realism to it

GT vision better have online play if it really wants to stand out during its debut. GT4 was a huge disappointment when online play was cancelled and replaced with a stupid photo mode ( :wtf: i dont get it...)

I agree. I like the "driving simulator" that is gran turismo but you can go too far in terms of realism and in some aspects damage is included in that. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been ruled out however. I disagree with the "stupid photo mode" though. I don't mind it at all. It may just be a pointless extra feature but I take my gran turismo very seriously and having photos of my great runs is kinda cool.

Anyone figure out how to play GT4 on LAN? I noticed they don't tell you anything on how to play over a LAN. :confused:

dont hold your breath for the ps3 this spring. You would have had an opportunity to preorder online by now. I'd expect it to come out in the fall at earliest.
