Back seat Passenger side door wont unlock from inside

hey, wondering if anyone can help.
Its Nissan Maxima 2001 GXE model.
I have a minor problem with one of my rear passenger door. This happened recently, one of the passenger door cannot open from the inside when it is unlock. I tried pulling the handle on the inside but the door would not open from the inside, but it opens fine from the outside of the car. The Child safety lock is not ON. Anyone know what may be the problem, thanks for your help.
