Any good ideas on carriers for extra gas on a 2005?

I don't carry extra gas, I've never found myself more than half an hour's drive from gas...

Likewise for myself...I always top off the tank at the nearest gas station to where I'm off roading and it usually does me well...

A few people in our club have jerry can carriers on their aftermarket bumpers. However, like OffroadX mentions, I've never been worried about gas, usually only going through half a tank max in a day of wheeling.

Plus if you have extra gas the other people in your group don't so it doesn't really do you any good to be able to travel farther than the people you're with.

i would like to know what kind of milage you get if you only go threw 1/2 tank. i know in mine a half a tank wont last me til ten o clock. my gas milage sucks as is and when i get on logging roads, makes me want to cry. my 87 full size blaze did as good as this 05 plus had 31 gal tank.

i really find that hard to believe a all day 4 wheeling on one tank of gas. i would like to know how many miles you put on in that day. everyones definition of wheeling and all day can be differant than mine. thanks

I always fuel up at the closest station near the trailhead. But I also carry a 5 gallon Jerry can on my rear bumper not to use if I run out driving, but if I tear a fuel or run into someone who didn't plan well. I worry about snagging the line under the chassis near the fuel filter.
