'95 PA - Climate Control No Readout...Blown?

My 95 PA automatically adjusts the climate control to defrost and will not respond to any adjustments on the actual climate control module.
I found a cheap replacement part and switched it out, and to my surprise the climate control worked for a couple of days until it went out again. Now its back on automatic defrost.
I switched out the old fuses with new ones, but other than that i've done nothing. Some help please? I'm freezing my butt off.

Did you change the actuator behind the glove box and check the vacuum lines to the resivor under the hood?
