I have a 2000 Expd. it was 27 degrees this morning, went to start, it turned over, battery died. Boosted the battery - it just turned like it didnt have gas. Checked both fuses and checked the fuel pump, I heard the fuel pump come on. I Sprayed starter fluid into the throttle body and it didnt start. Sounds like a coil? or something to do with spark. Dont know how to check this what else can I check ??

I was running super yesterday, it has 113K. Never had to do anything to it before. Just change the oil. I dont remember changing the plugs but what can cause it not to start from one day to the next? It was running just fine before this morning.

I also have a 2000 expd. with 113k on it. I had the same problem last week. Changed out the throttle position sensor and at first I thought I had wasted 30 dollars, but after I got it started enough to take it to the shop- about 3 miles down the road - it started running as smooth as ever. So it did take a short while to reset itself. Hopefully this will help you.
