98 VR6 : remote "LOCK" no longer works...

It does the error where the red LED on the driver's door flashes slowly. In the manual it says that this is cause by either the hatch, hood, or one of the doors are not closed properly.
Has anyone had this problem? Everything looks secure to me...
Does anyone know where the sensors are for each of these? I looked at the hood and couldnt see anything electrical near the lock mechanism, nor for the hatch.

Any ideas?
