No 4WD on rodeo.

Hi, my 4WD does not engage on my 97 rodeo 3.2L. The indicator light on the dash does not light as well telling me the switch may need to be adjusted. The truck is now on stands. Also the selector lever seems loose and doesn't seem to lock in a position. :banghead: Once the switch is adjusted will the lever lock in better? Does the switch on the transfer case activate a solenoid to allow vacuum to operate the SOTF motor? If so then where is this solenoid? I just bought this truck so I've never experienced it working because of dry conditions.

After looking underneath the truck last night I noticed the 4WD indicator switch is on the SOTF motor. So I need to get out the vacuum pump and check the vacuum switch unit beside the SOTF motor and the check valve. I hope it's not the shift motor.
