newbie question

Hi Guys,
New to the Forum as I'm considering buying a used LS. Would have to be a V6 with a 5spd. I'm not a lead-foot, what kind of gas-mileage should I expect to get on the open hi-way? Do I HAVE to run premium or can I get away with Plus? Thanks

I think the V6 Getrag cars give up a little mileage to the autos, due to the higher numerical gearing. Fifth in the Getrag is 1:1... I would estimate it at about 25-26 on the highway, about the same as the V8. The upside is that the Getrag cars perform on par with the V8s as far as acceleration, and handle even better.
