I just wrecked my 98 black trans am ws6 yesterday... hit a small patch of ice, rear end slipped, began sliding into the other lane, i eased the wheel back towarded the slide, then it checked up i cranked the wheel the other way, the pass. front end hits a guard rail, followed by the rear quarter panel as i spin, then i come to a stop against the other gaurd rail facing the way i was coming from... It wasnt snowy or anything, it had snowed maybe 5 days before and it was -5 out, so it gets slick in patches. I was going 60 when it began to slip. The damage done: replace front bumper, pass. quarter panel, pass. door, pass. quarter panel, rear bumper cover, unibody pull(frame), realignment, rear suspension realignment... cost: anywhere from $4,300 to $5000. Did I cry: Yes.

That sucks. As long as you or somebody else didn't get hurt though. Sorry about your ride, and wallet. :frown:

I feel your pain. 2 years ago I was in a car accident where a car hit my passenger side doing 30 mph. My door, front panel, hood, steering rack, front rim, front tire and probably a few things I can't remember had to get replaced. It was 6K worth of parts and labor. But I had full coverage so my insurance company fixed me up for my $500 deductable. It took two months but when my car got back it was good as new.
Do you have full coverage? If so then don't worry. Your baby will be good as new before you know it. If not then you have my deepest condolences. Just remember it could have been worse. A car can be fixed or replaced alot easier then a life.
Good luck to you and god bless.

It happens to most of us sooner or later. just last wednesday someone pulled out in front of me on my '05 Raven R1. Now it's totalled. The first new vehicle I've ever owned in my 31 years and now it's ruined. This happened right in front of my work, too so everyone got to see the results and me (the car guy in the office) in a bad moment. Now I type sitting here with road rash and a messed up shoulder that I have to go to the chiropractor 3x a week while the girl who did this continues to make illegal u-turns in front of my office building every day.
She was charged with making an illegal u-turn and the accident is "her" fault, but still, it won't bring the bike back, nor the hassles of having to deal with the wrecked bike, and all that goes with it. I understand your pain all too well.
