03 Caravan SE Fan Switch Problem

The fan switch on the dash will only operate on HI. The van has dual climate control. The other switch operates fine. Do I have a bunk switch? I want to avoid the dealership at all costs. I can probably fix this myself, except I don't know how to diagnose this issue. Anyone have this problem? I've put up with this all summer long, but I just had a baby and I need to regulate the temp better. I found an old thread from early 2005 that someone stated the fan switch resistor was the culprate and not the switch. Maybe it is the switch. Would this possibly be the same problem? Dont' know where this(resistor) would be located on the van either. Can this part be purchased at Autozone/O'Reilly??

Replace the blower motor resistor . It is located directly behind the glovebox on this era van , on 96-2000 models it's under the hood on the passenger side under the wiper cowl.

Does this part just plug into a wiring harness? Is this part available at the local auto parts store? Any idea how much? Thanks for the advice.

I found it. Like everyone said...literally behind the glove box. Very easy to get to. Now I have to get the replacement part.
