i read on hondatech that in order to put an ex gauge cluster into a dx, you just take out the gauge cluster and put the ex one in. there is an extra plug already there. i have a 95 dx, and this isnt true. now, not only did i spend 45$ on an ex gauge cluster, but i also broke the black plastic part around the gauge cluster and have to go buy another one of those. is there any way to wire it up right?

well i found out you just plug it in and it works. that green port threw me off, but its definatley not for the tach. all you need is the 3 plugs already there.

Don't post in threads if you don't know what you're talking about noob. If he got the plug he needs (the physical plug), he could wire it up with the diagram I linked him to in his other thread.

that is fucked up cuz i did that same shit and fucked the whole gauge cluster like black plastic thing in my dx up too and now i have none in there cuz i cant find out where to get one so it looks like shit now in my car, i already posted my question about it but i was changing mines to a integra gauge cluster, you should probly do that your self (94 integra cluster) you can change the bulbs out of it to make the gauges what ever color you want them they sell the bulb right at advance auto or any place really, and its nice cuz you can make the stock integra gauges like blue, red, neongreen etc. but if you come across anything be sure to let me know, i know a guy by the way that will wire it for you but he is in a town of fairport ny idk wher eyour located but thats where he is its right outside rochester if you knwo the area but you pay him to do it and he will make the clip for you, i would just rather get my own diagram so i dont have to pay himbut if you wanted i could give you his numebr just message me back.

i dont know about the whole integra to civic change, but the ex in a dx is really easy. as to you guys breakin the black plastic, you just need to be more careful. i took my cluster out to change the guage faces, and i didnt have any problems getting it out or back in. i was just careful. you cant just yank it all out. i recommend you get like a helm's or hayne's manual for your car. it gives you step by step instructions and pictures for a whole tear down and rebuild of your car, and tells you how to get things like interior trim out.
