radio lock code for mitsubishi eclipse 2001

Okay, I need trying to get a radio lock code for my niece. She had her car worked on and the car was owned by someone else of couse they did not give her the lock code to the radio. She is now trying to get her radio to work, it shows a status of being off. We called where she bought it, Carmax and they told her to take the radio out and the code should be on it. we found a bunch of numbers but not sure which one to use. We have an mr number can anyone help with us, besides having to pay for it?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

write down the serial number that you see on the radio, put everything back and take it to the dealer just give the the serial number and they will find out the code, the best thing is that you don't have to pay for this.

^^ usually it works like that, some, like at my honda dealership will charge you just to run the number through the comp
