Suppose I'll introduce myself as a new member,
As my user names suggests, I have a Chevy 2500HD 4x4. It's a 1998 with the 4L80E auto tranny, 3.73 rear end, the classic 5.7L - 350, G80 locking rear diff, etc. etc. As a final note on my truck, it has 306,000 miles (yes, that's not a typo) and running original engine, tranny, and all other major components. My last Chevy was a 1993 3/4t that I sold upon reaching 415,000 miles, the current owner is now up to 425,000 and still running strong! I'm not a mechanic, but enjoy fixing my vehicles and my friends (haven't taken any of my vehicles into a shop for repair in over 12 years). If I can be of any assistance, I've had experience with Chevy trucks, toyota trucks, and subaru cars.
