Couple of questions

Christmas time is comeing!!!! and time for some modifiactions :iceslolan

so i wonted yalls opinion in what was the best things to get name brand or e-bay or if it matters

i know a header down pipe high flow cat and cat back exhaust but does it matter if there e-bay brand or what. is sertin kinds better then the other or are they all about they same

a performance coil pack but what brand
shifter bushing and short shifter does it matter what brand?
a ground kit
and if im missing something kinda cheep but good to have please fill me in its a 96 gs

I just got a header from ebay, it looks to be made well but the downpipe was 2inch short, we had to cut and weld in an extra piece of pipe. I dont have a high flow cat so I'm not to sure about that one. It would be chaper to buy a muffler and get custom piping made from the cat back.

B&M make a good short shifter but it is kind of pricey, the ebay knock-offs seem to work just as well.

I think david_b got a grounding kit off of ebay and it didn't fit. You could just get some 4ga wire and make your own grounding kit.

Header - Don't go cheapo. Many ebay brands don't fit right. The best one to get is the DC Sports 4-2-1 ceramic coated header. It comes with a DP. Kind of pricey, but worth the money. You can get one on ebay brand new shipped for about $270.

Coil Pack - Screamin Demon has been good to me. MSD is another recommended brand. You can get either at www.howellautomotive.com (http://www.howellautomotive.com)

High Flow Cat - Ebay, dosn't matter what brand they are all the same.

Exhaust - Go custom 2.25" stainless steel mandrel bend from whatever shop is near you.

Ground Kit - No idea. I'm kind of in the dark also, but I hear the ebay ones are alright.

I hope to be getting the DC-Sports header, high flow cat, exhaust, and grounding kit in the spring, so if by then you don't get anything, watch for when I do it and I will let you know what's good.

i wouldn't be so concerned with the performance coil pack, look into something more like a gst axle-back exhaust system or something, or maybe a complete new exhaust system.

but i mean the e-bay brand header's and the dc sport's like how much HP diffrence is it gana be cuz 100$ is a big diffrence for mabey 2 hp

The ground wires DID fit my car. The stupid little cap with the dumbass logo didn't fit though. I'm also the only idiot that put their front strut bar on the wrong way, so it goes right over the negative battery terminal just about.

Ground wires do good. You don't need to buy them unless you're laszy and don't want to make your own. I did alittle of both, kit and homemade.

I went with a cheapo short shifter off ebay and I love it. Easy to install, and no problems so far.

Shifter bushings make a difference. You never miss a shift. It falls into place like butter. I love mine. Got the bushings for the shifter plate and where the arms connect to the tranny. Great mod for the money.

Just got MSD ignition coil. Haven't had much time to play with it. Alittle better throttle response from what I see. Need plugs and wires for sure to go with it if you buy.

My whole exhaust is from ebay. Header fits great!! Everything lined up perfectly, and it's awesome. Sounds good, good gains, and pretty easy to install to (when you have the right tools, on which I didn't). Good times.
