I'm not sure if its me but I just bought a 05 4x4 dbl cab tacoma, with everything but the downhill assist on it and I am at a loss. It got below freezing last night so tonight I am wanting to plug it in. Typically the block heater is just a cord hanging off of the front but I have looked high and low under the hood and have found nothing. Can someone tell me if Toyota did offer these and where they might be located??

They were offered as an option on 05 models, in this test it was packaged in the towing package.

A block heater was offered as an option in 04, see page 9 in:
www.toyota.ca/NWS/media/pdf/04tacoma_e.pdf
A block heater option is offered in 06 models, see;
www.toyota.ca/NWS/media/pdf/06tacoma_e.pdf -

I don't have a block heater so I don't know where it would be. As you said it should be somewhere in the front if you have one.

thanks guys, I talked to another guy and he said that he didn't get one either, but he had toyota put one on for about $125, and it took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do, so that is what I will probably end up doing. Thanks again guys for the prompt replies. ;)
