Stolen...

Ok, so a friend of mines 3 was stolen last night and it has me paranoid now about getting a new car because her car was equipped with an immobilizer and was obviously stolen. Have the mazda 3 ecu been hacked or is there something special about their immobilizers that allow them to be defeated? now before the flaming starts and you go off about how they dont make the car impossible to steal and "if someone wants your car bad enough theyll take it" save the time you would spend typing and move on. Does anybody know how difficult it would be for a starter kill switch to be installed? ive been reading up on kill switches since this morning, and while I like the idea of them I dont think a fuel pump kill is a very good choice simply because if it fails while im on the highway going 70+ (most of my driving is highway) the engine cuts off. not good.

^^^See how paranoid I am. I was literally 2 days away (friday) from going into the bank to see how much they would pre-approve me for. but now im reconsidering how much i really want to dump myself into debt for something thats overly easy to be stolen. Any ideas about the 3's ecu? any suggestions for anti-theft on my next car? I need to stop smoking that "foreign" tobacco. it has my nerves all tense. :smokin:
