99 GA GT evening dash lights

Just last night after shopping with the wife we realized upon getting in the car that none of the dash lights, to include the radio and heater/AC lights, were working. I shrugged it off to a blown fuse and went on home and picked up some fuses at Wal-Mart today. However, after going through each and every one, on both the driver and passenger side panels, I found that none of the fuses were blown. The car is a '99 Grand Am GT 2-door.
What could be the problem here? Everything else works perfectly fine, but when it gets dark and the headlights come on, no dash or console lights come on. Service, turn signal, internal lamps. etc. lights still work fine. The dimmer switch will turn the overhead lights on, but does nothing else anymore. Manually turning on the headlights makes no difference either.
Thanks for any help.

if no one has messed with your DRL's , theirs a fuse or two on the pass side FB. A and G ans under the hood#3 and 4, might as well check 19 and 20 auto light control. Hopfully that'll help, if not let us know and we'll see what we can do, and Welcome to AF.

I took it in earlier that day to have a bad driver side window regulator checked out...could they have jacked something up in the process? As far as I know they only took the paneling off to see what was wrong so that I could get the correct parts. What are DRL's?
Thanks for the welcome :]
