idling probleme

hi, i have an 89 325i when i start the car it will idle funny and some time it will dies and if i give it some gas for 3 or 4 second and release the gas pedale it will idle normal and when i shift to (D) it will idle normal and it will drive fine after that even if i get to a stop evrything is normal only when i start that happen .pls help!
