Oil Leak from crankshaft

I have a 1995 Firebird with 153,550 miles on it. It is leaking oil from the crankshaft. Does anyone know whether it is worth fixing? How much would it cost and what would be involved in fixing this problem? I was told it would take pulling the engine and the labor would be at least $2500. Any ideas? Thanks.

I sure hope the crankshaft has oil on it.

Please describe better where the leak is coming from.
