Mine isn't a tuner or modified Sentra. It has 132K miles and I want to get it serviced well to keep it reliable. The brakes, tuneup, air filter and alignment have all been done. It just squeaked by smog the last time even after the tuneup. I do tuneups, brakes and several things myself, but there are some things that the dealer can do much better and don't mind spending the money for those things.

I'm going to have the dealer flush and fluid exchange the coolant, trans, brake and power steering fluids. Although it's expensive, they have the cool equipment to really get the old stuff out. I had this done on my 98 Cherokee and it was amazing how dirty the coolant was even though I had drained it when I changed hoses. I'll also have them flush and recharge the A/C.

I'm also going to have the dealer do fuel injector clean, EGR clean and Throttle Body clean and set the idle to orginal spec. I also had this done on my 98 Cherokee with 100K and the power and mileage improved to like new (about 2-3 mpg improvement).

I'll check the belts and hoses, but the dealer said yesterday that they seem to last forever.

I'll replace the PCV valve myself. And since the battery is 3 years old put in a new battery.

I just replaced the two front tires with 175/70R13 Michelin Destiny's. The old ones were Goodyear Integrities, same size. I was really impressed how the Michelins ride better and reduce the road noise and road vibration transfer to the inside the car. So I made a good choice on tires.

The struts are original and the ride is a little bouncy although I don't see any leaks around the struts. I've read the other posts and think the KYB GR2's re-using the stock springs are probably the way to go for around $230. I've seen the recommendations for the KYB AGX adjustables for around $499 but that's a little pricey. I'm just after a little less road vibration transfer and don't mind a little stiffer handling like I hear the GR2s are but don't want the ride to be harsher.

Is there anything I'm missing that should be done or any comments on the above?

Great forum, I appreciate reading your posts.

sounds like you got it pretty much covered. GR2s are great shocks, i dont think youd ever use the adjustable ones.
technically GR2s are O.E. replacement so you shouldnt notice any harsher ride, or firmer ride either(maybe a little), it should just seem like your car is more controlled. i have Tokico HP series and they are the same level as the GR2s. very quality.
