Ordering From Exoticar

first of all i don't want to start a rage about how bad exoticar is and their shipping problems but i have a tip. next time you order from them don't order through the website becasue the website doesn't tell you if the item is in stock or not. most of the time the newer item aren't in stock. if you want to order from them order from the phone (1800EXOTICAR). when you tell them the car number ask them if it is instock or not and they would tell you. i just wanted to tell you guys this before you get pissed off when you find out one of your cars ore on backorder.

They suck. There is this policy, where if they don't have the exact item you are looking for, they will send you a car that is similar!!?!! WTF!! I had to send back the car 3 times!! Then they changed their other policy and I had to pay to send it back!! All is well now tho. But yea..they suck.

yeah but sometimes the only way to get the newest items you have to order from them.

ive try ordering at them.... im in asia.. but my mom is in riverside CA. right now.. they said its 1 to 2 days shipping... but it arrive at riverside around 2 weeks...

I m using WWW.COLLECTABLEDIECAST.COM for the lost 3 years and i m very happy with them,.very good ppl. no problems.u can order on line or by phone or fax , if anythig goes wrong they call u next day and tell u we dont have it in stock,we'll have it in a 7 days,or we have blue no black,would u like that or i can order black one for u ,it will be in stock in 3-4 days,and it is true. prises r good,litle more then at local toy s r us store or k mart or e bay.

i so far havn't had any problems w/ them other than that they don't tell you that things are on backorder online that's why i use the phone other than that i think their okay. sometimes their prices are high but sometimes their the lowest.

Ok, first of all let me say that I'm not trying to bash then or anything but just describing my experiences in dealing with them. I had dealt with them a number of times, everything went great for the first couple times. But the last few times I was really, REALLY impressed by them (in a negative way). I've had numerous problems with them- items on b/o ( I waited 4 months the longest), wrong colors, called them and they said they would take care of it. Then the only time, which was the last time I bought from them, I received a piece of crap from them---- yes, it was a piece of CRAP, not just broken model during shipping or anything like that. I received one with scratches, missing headlight covers, door hinge problems, reapplied stickers all over the model, broken windshied, AND in wrong box! After this time I cancelled the rest of order that I had with them and decided never to deal with them again! NEVER!!!

So, in conclusion, I'd not call them the worst since I'm relatively new to diecast but they are certainly the worst I've dealt with and I can safely say that they are not even remotely close to being one of the best diecast sellers out there because everyone else I've dealt with are better. I would not recommend them to anyone unless you don't mind trouble yourself to deal with them with all the problems they will have. If you want a good diecast and a good buying experience, do yourself a favor by buying from someone else.

like i said before no problems so im still in. just them not telling you things arnt on backorder really annoying.

I was probably a little too emotional, but after seeing what other people posted, I felt I should also share my experience with exoticar here. Don't worry, I think you should get the s-class w/o any problems though (since it's a new item and priced rather high) :smile: ...........

I think they do ship to Portugal if they use Global Express Mail (EMS) as the shipping method, but to be sure I suggest you ask them any questions before ordering though and beware for import duties/customs. Also I would check out my local online shops first if I were you cuz the shipping could be very costly.......

yes...it's very costly...25$ for piece in some times... :(

sorry to bring back a sort of an old thread but i'm finally having some moderate issues w/ exoticar. here is my timeline:

i ordered by phone about 2 weeks ago either on a saturday and everything i ordered was in stock they sould ship it out of the warehouse on monday.

i call them agian (forgot which date) said it packed and should be shipped

on saturday (a week after i ordered) i call them because my package hasnt arrived yet and they didnt email me the tracking code so the warehouse guy answered because the costumer service was all tied up so i asked him why my order hasnt been shipped out yet. he said that they just recieved one of the cars that was sopposed to be shipped out and they are still waiting for another. but they are going to ship out the cars that are on my oreder now.

i call back in about 5 minutes and costumer service says that it should ship out today.

i check my email later that night after they would close, still no tracking code

then i call today (monday) and they said "oh ya blah blah it should be shipped out today blah blah" so i hang up

everytime when i called them (besides the time the warehouse guy answered) they said it is packed and ready to ship

this is just really frustraiting because the damn package should arrive by xmas and i ordered the this 2 whole weeks ago and it still hasnt been shipped ot of their f$%#ing warehouse!

i just called them again and since i got the same customer serviece person again the hung up on me! wut an a hole. he just said havnt u called me 3 times today? then i said yes. then he said call back on monday and hung up. what an asshole!

I'm sorry to hear that you are having a problem with them now... guess some people just can't learn from their mistakes, I mean, from what I know, they already have a bad name among many people who have purchased from them. I just can't believe that they still havent improved much after all this time! Hope you'll receive your package okay...

well thats it 4 exoticar. never ordering from them agian. last xmas catologue they had the minichamps bentleys and they still dont even have them yet! its still in their catolauge this year. so screw them i just ordered mine off ebay for the same price. about the package i just want the damn thing by xmas! is it really hard to ask them for that? i ordered it 2 whole weeks ago. still hasnt been shipped out yet!

Uh...actually, two weeks for them isn't that bad (I've waited way longer, see my previous post), but of course, it's a different case if THEY TOLD YOU it was in stock. Anyway, good luck on receiving the model in time!

claps for retards! they sent it out yesterday on xmas eve! its in conecticut now and needs to find its way over here to washington. those cars should arrive on the 30th. still pissed at them for not arriving my xmas. at least now i dont have to deal w/ them again unless if they sent me the wrong things. lol lets hope not.

Well, at least now you know they shipped your order...^^ By the way, I just ordered the Lexus GS430 a few days ago from g force autoart and it arrived yesterday (took only 3 days!!! :D). I'll be posting pics of this model soon....

not too big of a lexus fan but the details on the aa model of that car looks like they are amazing. hope to see it soon and maybe compare it to the aa s-class. lol
