ZX2 sepentine belt replacement

Hi all,
I have a 2001 ZX2 with 84,000 miles and need to replace the serpentine belt. Ive had several 80's and 90's Escorts with the 1.9L SOHC engine but I am not as familiar with the 2.0L DOHC ZETEC engine in the ZX2. Is it easier to reach the tensioner pulley bolt (to release the tension) from above or below the engine? If from below do I need to remove the lower plastic 'splash shield'? Is there anything else about the belt removal/installation that would be helpfull to know?
