I'm gonna make this short and sweet and will answer all the questions.. 2001 2.4 cav. z24 35k o.e. miles.. ses light on.. code p0300 came up for a generic code for misc. missfires on all cylinders.. specially around 3k rpm.. and ses light flashes.. NO specific fault code.. At idle.. solid ses light on and cylinder number two missfire.. Replaced plugs, coil packs, boots at this time for no charge.. and the number 2 injector. Does not die.. and allways missfires.. Did not check out the ignition module yet.. but i don't know the specs on that.. can't see any vacuum leaks or hoses off.. New 02 senors.. cat convertor.. etc.. Mint car. Runs like poop.. Anyone else expierience the same thing before or can point me in the right direction.. Thanks Ronnie.

Well if there was a hard fault code.. than i would.. as you can see in the first post.. there all generic codes.. no hardfaults at all.. so do not really point you in any specific direction..

well either i pissed people off or i was right.. but still having the same problems any help besides. the throw parts at it would be helpful.. Again. no newbie to cars even our tech II did not point us in the right direction. If you don't know what a tech II is type those words in ebay.. Thanks. Ronnie..

Ryan.. i'm not gonna respond to you directly.. but.. All i'm saying is that my 12 techs that i manage can't figure this out with the techII and it's a 4k machine... so i'm looking for someone else that has had this problem before and may give me techs some knowledge and a slap in the face to prove them wrong.. thanks though ryan for your support. I appreciate it.

Shit dude, thats the way to get help! If this was posted on the Honda forum i'd be offended, but these Cavvy guys do kinda know whats up.....and you're not in the position to talk since you can't figure it out. Dont call people stupid because you're way fuckin stupider obviously....

And as far as chevy. who cares.. my wife likes em and drives em.. her 97 200k miles had no problems.. but this one does.. Im not a fan of em. but thats not the issue here.. The issue is getting the problem solved for my wife. Thanks. Ronnie.

I commend him for putting up with all the greif thrown at him. Most people would have took their questions elsewhere by now. We need to back off all the little stupid shit and concentrate on the problem, fixing his car. After all, that's what we're here for, to help people, right?

I hate to hear about a 2.4 having problems, they are great engines. With only 35,000mi I doubt that it's carbon build up. It could be the EGR valve, after the motor swap, my 2.2 would consistently miss-fire while cruising, after I unhooked the EGR solenoid the problem nearly disappeared. Come to find out I have a spark plug that has been previously crossthreaded and is a little past halfway in.

I don't know if he ever found the problem but it may help you, funny how at the end of the thread he calls the problem the "entity." Now Entity34 has the "entity."
