Idle Air Control Sensor and Stalling

I have a '95 Intrepid, 3.5, V6 with a brand new Idle Air Control Sensor. Every 15 to 20 miles the check engine light comes on and when I slow down the car stalls. I have to unhook the Idle Air Control Sensor and push the plunger type thing on the bottom all the way back up and screw it back on. We've cleaned the area where the Sensor mounts and this is the second new Idle Air Control we've put on. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this problem? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as we are plum out of ideas. Thanks in advance.

I kinda had something similar going on in my 98 intrepid. It would do fine on the highways, but when it came to city driving it would stall at lights, stop signs whatever, when I came to a stop/slow. I found out it was the EGR valve a $300-400 part (something to do with emission) I have since had it unplugged and apart from the check engine light always being on, it has'nt stalled on me since.
