just the other day i noticed a huge temperature drop outside its now like 6 deg. all the sudden my supercharger started to make a high pitched noise i thought maybe it was my new intake filter because it was a bigger. but then today i opended the hood and there was a stream of spray marks all the way from the front to the rear of the engine bay right inline with the charger pulley. so i took it to gary lang autos which is a pontiac dealer and service shop. i told them i think my supercharger coupler went bad they said they never heard of a coupler before and that it isnt the prob. the only way to fix it is to replace the whole nose drive or the whole charger and i know thats a crock. do you think its a bad coupler cuz its making the ticking sound as well. its a 1998 grand prix gtp with 120k miles.

Sounds like the snout seal for the leak. It can be replaced without redoing the whole snout. A bad coupler will make a rattling type sound and a bad snout bearing(s) may squeel.

You can get the seal, snout bearings and improved coupler from ZZP.

If you determine the snout bearings are bad any automotive machine shop can change them out for you. The seal can be done DIY. The snout must be removed to replace the coupler. Good luck!
