My 1995 Ford Explorer has a stuck amp or radio and is running the battery down. I disconnected the cables and am not having a problem now. Where can I find out if the amp is doing the damage and where is it located? Does anyone know where I can get a used amp?

The amp is behind the passenger side rear quater panel inside the truck, it is a b***h to get to, dont replace it isnt worth it, if you have basic radio/wiring skills you can wire around it easy with or without a kit from www.crutchfield.com , consequentally if you would like to make an investment WELL worth the time and money check out crutchfield's head units, they will send you everything you need to replace the factory unit, install kit/wiring harness/ complete and detailed instructions, and when you skip over the factory amp you will be amazed at the better sound quality!

Hope this helps!!!!!
