God I hate winter. snow sucks. It's way too cold. That's it. I'm moving to Florida.

Wait...it's the second week of December and you're complaining already? You DEFINITELY have to move to Florida because you have a solid 5 months of bitching ahead otherwise.

My wife had some people from the San Jose California office come visit her Chicago area office. They were hoping for snow! They didn't get any and were real disappointed. :dunno:

I don't mind snow. I do mind the 5 degree temperature though and the freezing wind.

THIS part of winter i dont mind, even like, when it stayed around 25-30 degrees and drops a litte at night. its january and february when its gets downright FRIGID that i hate. When its too cold to even snow. The kind of cold where your boogers freeze in your nose as soon as you step out of your house, and you feel bad that you have to run your car in that coldness, but you feel even worse that you know it's not going to be blasting heat for another 15 goddamn miles. The kind of cold where you cant smoke a cigarette casue your hands will freeze off. The kind of cold where your COOLANT freezes in your car, and your gear oil gets so thick that when you start your poor car, the idle drops from 1500 to 1000 rpms when you let the clutch out in neutral (no word of lie; -20 degrees one time and i didnt have a 50/50 coolant mix... it was mostly water. Bad times).

Yeah, taht sucks. But snow's ok :D

I think a snowstorm is very pretty, and rather surreal. There's few things more incredible than choosing a night where a bright moon is out, bundling up in a bunch of layers, and just tromping outside into knee deep snow, then simply falling backwards into it and laying there as the snow falls around you. No sound but the crunch of the snow under you, the crackling of the trees, and an occasional gust of wind. The heavier and deeper the snow, the better, because that just means there will be less people outside, and you can have a damn snowball fight in the main street if you want. This experience is often even more enjoyable when tagteamed with the weekend, and a bottle of Sake. :iceslolan

I like snow aslong as I don't have to deal with it day to day. I used to live in Oswego, NY, but I now live about 45 mins east of Pitts, Pa. Up home they have almost a foot of snow. Down here we still see the ground. I'm happy because I laugh at them. If you don't like the snow and cold move down south... Just my 2cents

I like the snow, its the Fridgid cold, and snow packed slick as snot on a doorknob roads, and everything associated with winter, excpet fresh snow...

I had to work today (I'm a "parking cashier") which means I stand outside taking money at a parking lot entrance for a basketball game for a couple hours, It was 10 fricking degrees out, that was cold as hell. I could only have those thin ass knit gloves cause I have to work with money.... Damn, that sucked... And I have to work tommorow too, and it will prob snow, and its gonna be colder!

I live in Canada .... and unfortunately we get snow for about 4-5 months.

I hate the real frigid cold also. Especially now that I am on a construction site (which happens to be in the middle of a corn field !!)

But, as with everything else, I deal with it !!!

The only thing I hate about snow is road salt. Even the smallest amount of snow brings our trucks out. Watching it mess up my car and make it slowly rust away is somewhat painful for me. Driving in wet salty muck every time it snows just 1 inch sucks. (sometimes several times a week)

Deep snow is fun! Cars getting stuck, playing bumper tag, people late for work. Lots of excitement here! Give me two or three monster snow storms a season and keep all the pesky little ones and I'd be happy.

Yeah, the salt part really pisses me off I guess. I could tell the previous owner of my car probably parked on the street, because the factory alloys have some very visible surface corrosion going on, and I've been putting off getting them resurfaced for like 3 years now. Also I've noticed a small rust mark or two appearing around the wheel area, which REALLY sucks. I do like driving when it's really bad out though -- that's always fun, particularly when you get to a reasonably safe hill or straight-away, with no one around. Hello E-Brake :evillol:

im happy with the monster storms. Those are awesome. The first snow is great, I'll have to admit. And the one I was bitching about WAS the first snow.

It's not as much the snow itself, it's the fact that when you see snow... that means it's ungodly cold. And when it's ungodly cold AND windy, it's fucking miserable.

GOD i love the first snows. Because everybody still drives like normal for that first time cuz they're retarded. It's evne better when it first snows between thanksgiving and christmas on a saturday because then EVERYONES already ON the road and acting like damned fools anyways. So the first snow accentuates it and there ends up being double the first snow accidents. and those are entertaining. Just seeing a car slide sideways through a red light gets my jollys off.

i LOVE snow! that's prolly cuz i'm on two ski racing teams and i've been getting ready for skiing since august..i'm so excited it's already skiied 5 times in the last few weeks and it's actually staying. what sucks is the frostbite :( that's soo painful and i've permanently damaged the nerves in my fingers but it's sooo worth it to go skiing! :D yay for snow, that's my :2cents:

Me too. Is that bad?

I don't want anyone to get hurt, but watching them spin around is fun. Most of these snow accidents are not only at slow speeds but if one vehicle does hit another it will just push it away rather than absorb all of the impact thanks to the slippery snow/ice under the tires. I see more cars that just spun out or got stuck all on their own than vehicle to vehicle accidents.

We got a foot yesterday so the skiing is fantastic! The temps aren't to low yet. I'm still waiting for global warming to do something aobut that.

global warming is such a bunch of bullshit. the earth has been around for 4 billion years and we, with our like 200 years of weather data, think we're capable of making hypothesizes about what's happening. no cataclysmic events are going to happen. yes all the pollutants we have are doing something to the ozone, but we're not going to die of the greenhouse effect ANYTIME soon. for the last few years the earth has been warming up and now there are reports that the polar caps are freezing over again...

Yeah Global warming... Don't worry Yogs, I have a feeling you'll only have to wait till about spring before the whole Earth starts heating up. That'll make you believe... :D
